President's Letter Fall 2011

 Dear Friends and Neighbors:

 “Local Giving for Local Needs” Is The Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester and Tuckahoe.  It is with great pride that we present to you the Annual Report to the Community for the period July 1, 2010 – June 30, 2011 detailing how your generous giving addressed pressing local needs.  With contributions from families, individuals and businesses, we were able to approve $489,200 in grants to 26 agencies and community programs.

Some of the other highlights from the year include:

·        Provided funds to the Tuckahoe Youth Association Baseball Program for a Defibrillator

·        Supported the Eastchester Traffic Expo-Community Safety Day

·        Celebrated the 25^th Anniversary of the Annual Golf Outing at Siwanoy Country Club that netted over $95,000.

·        Updated the Community Guide, a community resource directory

 A sincere thank you to Fred Taylor, last year’s President, our capable Board and the entire BET community of donors for your hard work and unfailing support.  Through your contributions, seniors will be provided with transportation, fellowship and medical care, children from low-income families will attend day camp and day care and children with disabilities will be able to participate in therapy and recreation programs just to name a few services.

 The Community Fund is made up of special neighbors and friends who have a strong commitment to building and supporting their community. You make all this possible!
